Meet the Pastor - Marlon W.A. Reid

Pastor Marlon W.A. Reid, an ordained minister in the Seventh-Day Adventist church, is a graduate of Oakwood University (formerly Oakwood College) in Huntsville, AL where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Ministerial Theology. He is also a graduate of Andrews University (SDA Theological Seminary) in Berrien Springs, MI where earned a Master of Divinity Degree.
Throughout his seven year ministerial journey he has had the opportunity to conduct an evangelistic meeting in Nairobi, Kenya and has the privilege of pasturing seven churches in the territory of the Lake Region Conference. During his time in ministry, he has had the opportunity to be the commencement speaker at numerous graduations, featured speaker at weeks of prayers, and various retreats.
Currently, Pastor Reid serves as the pastor of the Straford Memorial S.D.A Church in Chicago, IL. He is married to the former Valerie N. Wells, who is a graduate of Chicago State University and Associate Treasurer of the Lake Region Conference. As a result of their union, God has blessed them with two sons, Luke and Landon.
Pastor Reid’s desire is to live a life totally surrendered to Jesus Christ and to an instrument leading others to salvation in Jesus Christ.
